The department of Electronics at Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University started in the year 2007 is providing quality education in the field of Electronics by offering post graduate and research programs. The Department has dedicated faculty members and well established laboratories to enhance the knowledge and skill of students.

1 M.Sc. in Electronics 02 Years / 4 Semesters A candidate should possess B.Sc. degree from any recognized University with 50% of marks (40% for SC/ST/Cat-1 and 45% for OBC) in aggregate and in the optional subject Electronics and/or Physics are eligible. 20 +10 The M.Sc. graduates in Electronics can find various job openings under Government and Private sectors and are eligible to teach at Under Graduate, Graduate and Post Graduate levels. Also, they can join in various research organizations as scientists or join as research scholars/assistants to pursue higher studies.  
2 M. Phil. in Electronics 01 year Candidates who have secured at least 55% of aggregate marks ( 50% for SC/SC/Cat- I/ physically challenged) or equivalent grade under grading system, in their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from the recognized Universities / Institutions The admission shall be made as per reservation policy and guidelines issued by the Government of Karnataka and also as per KSAWU Vijayapura from time to time. After the completion of the course students get absorbed  in various fields like Teaching, Research, Industries and Public Services  
3 Ph.D. in Electronics Minimum of 03 years and Maximum of 05 years for Full Time Candidates/ Minimum 04 years and Maximum 06 years for Part-time candidates Candidates who have secured at least 55% of aggregate marks ( 50% for SC/SC/Cat- I/ physically challenged) or equivalent grade under grading system, in their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from the recognized Universities / Institutions The admission shall be made as per reservation policy and guidelines issued by the Government of Karnataka and also as per KSAWU Vijayapura from time to time. 4 B.Sc. in Electronics

03 Year/

6 Semesters 		Students who have qualified PUC Science of Karnataka Pre University Education Board or Equivalent 10+2 from recognized Board. The admission shall be made as per reservation policy and guidelines issued by the Government of Karnataka and also as per KSAWU Vijayapura from time to time. After the completion of the course students can pursue higher education or can get employed in research organizations, Industries or Banking Sector.
